MERITAGE - an urban tavern: Experience Upscale Dining in Phoenix

Meritage is connected to Marriott Desert Ridge resort. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for such an upscale restaurant. Portions are generous. For lunch, the Turkey Club was wonderful and I would highly recommend it. They have a professional and friendly staff and bartenders that know how to mix some great Cocktails. Try the Collins or the Prickly Pear, both are excellent.

It was easy to book online a last minute dinner reservation. The overall service was really good. The music inside wasn't too loud but outside it was. My husband and I shared an entree and they split it for us which was nice. The steak was perfect and the dip for our fries was so yummy. They have a good variety if drink options. This place is worth a try if you're in the are.

Food was absolutely delicious! The sides are family style so just a heads up one side might be enough for the table I went alone and had plenty of food. But it was amazing. Best steak I’ve ever had.

After spending the day swimming at the JW Marriott at Desert Ridge , we went to this nice restaurant located inside the resort. It was a very fancy sports bar. The service was very good. The food was even better. We started off with appetizers, pork wings, and an order of meatballs. Along with the dinner rolls, they were both very good. I had their 18oz ribeye with creamed mashed potatoes. It was cooked perfectly and was very good quality meat. The potatoes were very tasty. We split their chocolate cake with a bowl of ice cream. Very decadent cake and very good vanilla bean ice cream. It was a very nice, enjoyable experience.

Stopped in for a small bite. Opted for deviled eggs. No real flavor. Can’t speak to the rest of the menu. However, service was fast and friendly!

Meritage is a very pleasant restaurant at JW Marriott in Desert Ridge. The ambiance is contemporary but relaxed. We had dinner here and the food and drinks are delicious! We enjoyed the meatballs appetizer, steak and frites, and the scallop dishes. Service is prompt and friendly. While the menu is somewhat limited, there seemed to be something for many tastes. There are no kids menu and activity sheet available, but the ambiance is relaxed enough where it would not be awkward to bring kids. Highly recommended!

Honestly I would never personally go out of my way to a golf club restaurant haha. But I was staying here and this was one of the best options on site. Zach the bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable - and he knew what he was doing! I got the wagyu meatballs. Which were about a three out of five stars honestly. But they were only $20 so I gave them a 4 haha - Red Sauce was REALLY good. Garlicky, aromatic, zingy. - Ricotta cheese melted in, that was a really nice cream element I didn’t know I needed - The Grilled bread on the side was actually very enjoyable! I’m not sure they seasoned it much if at all, but it was grilled perfectly crispy/crunchy with some fluffy still inside. - The meatballs I can tell were not seared. They were missing texture. And they most definitely did not give me “this is wagyu beef” flavor. It was actually somewhat tough, and maybe even on the dry side? I can tell also tell they don’t cook their balls in the sauce. 50/50 whether I would come here again

We celebrated my birthday at Meritage at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, and it was absolutely perfect. Evelyn and Travis took amazing care of our party of 11 (including 5 kids) and made everything feel effortless and special. The enclosed patio was beautiful, the service was warm and attentive, and it was truly the ideal place to celebrate. We’ll definitely be back!
